Admission Selection Process (PGDM/MBA)

JAGSoM looks at innovation potential, solution orientation and value fit of the candidates, besides their consistent academic performance and relevant work experience (if applicable), for admission into its PGDM/MBA programs.
Short-listed candidates for the 2-year full-time PGDM/MBA programs at JAGSoM are required to appear for the selection process, which comprises of the following components:

1. JAGSoM Management Aptitude Test(JAGMAT):
JAGMAT is an aptitude test and comprises of 3 sections –

  • English Language Proficiency (ELP)
  • Quantitative Aptitude (QA)
  • Logical Reasoning (LR)
Full marks 75. Each section will be of 25 marks. There is no negative marking.
Duration of the test: 90 minutes.

 

2. Group Exercise (GE): A 30-minute group exercise in groups of six to eight candidates, for assessing ‘Solution Orientation’ of the candidates.
3. Personal Interview (PI-1): An interaction to assess the ‘Value Fit’ of the candidate with the shoulder-batch.
4. Personal Interview (PI-2): A personal interview for assessing the ‘Learning Potential’ of the candidate. The interview panel will have 3 panelists (1 Faculty Member, 1 Industry Expert, 1 Alumni).

The International MBA is a two degree program. In collaboration with International Partner Schools - State University of New York, Albany, USA, University of Wollongong, Sydney Business School, Sydney, Australia and Kedge Business School, Paris, France. The PGDM program is a 2 year full time residential program that is offered at the JAGSoM, Bangalore campus.

It’s a rolling process. The results will be announced within 2 days of the process. Hence it is important to accept the offer early to avoid losing your admission.
Post selection process the seat needs to be blocked within the stipulated time as mentioned in your offer letter.
The program fee needs to be cleared as per the fee schedule. The registration fees needs to be paid immediately on acceptance of the offer.
JAGSoM offers merit scholarships in the form of tuition fee waiver. The scholarship would be adjusted in the last payable installment as per the fees schedule.
JAGMAT is an aptitude test and comprises of 3 sections, which are English Language Proficiency (ELP), Quantitative Aptitude (QA) and Logical Reasoning (LR). Each section will be of 25 marks summing to 75 marks. There will not be any negative marking. Duration of the test will be 90 minutes.
The cut-off for JAGMAT exam is 50% to secure an early admission at JAGSoM.
